March 2008: Montel Williams Show - Friendship

Montel Williams Show: Friendship
Airing May 2, 2008

The Make a Wish Foundation along with The Silver Spoon, an event planning company, hosted a party as part of The Living Well Segment of The Montel Williams Show. The Make a Wish Foundation chose M'herdes for the show as she is a 15 year old girl living with lupus. She is very involved at school and in her community.

A Hollwoodesque party was held at The Pink Taco Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA. with plenty of food, activities and, of course, gift bags. Lund Trading contributed gifts for M'herdes and her guests.  Lund Trading sent bracelets and trays full of trollbeads for M'herdes and her friends to create their own bracelets.   Representatives from Lund Trading and Scandihoovians, a local trollbeads retailer in LA, were on hand to help the young ladies.

At the taping of the show in New York City Lund Trading gave 175 bracelets, decorated with the Friendship bead, to each of the audience members so they can begin to tell their own story with trollbeads.

The party as well as an interview with M'herdes, will air on The Montel Williams Show May 2, 2008.

February 2008: New Bead Release and Price Increase

Due to the continued weakening of the US dollar, and the resulting higher silver and gold prices, Lund Trading has been forced to increase wholesale prices of Trollbeads.  We have maintained prices for nearly two years and this is our first price increase since March 2006.

On February 15, 2008 new Trollbeads products were introduced and a number of existing Trollbeads were retired.

New and updated information is available on www.lundtrading.com regarding pricing, and new and retired beads.  Please be sure to use the latest order forms when placing re-orders.

Pricing information must be updated as soon as possible in your store and/or on your website. The deadline for all pricing updates is March 1, 2008. Per your Terms and Conditions, retailers may only sell our products at or above suggested retail prices.

A new order form will be included with your next re-order. One set of sticker sheets are available upon request.

Sincerely,

Staff at Lund Trading

January 2008: Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions Document has been revised effective 01/04/2008. The following changes have been made:

Retailers can now submit Co-Op dollar requests through January 31 for the previous year.

Lund Trading is the exclusive North American distributor for Trollbeads. To maintain that exclusivity, our retailers agree not to engage in selling, distributing, soliciting or sending any Trollbeads products to any customers outside of North America and the Caribbean. Any brick and mortar retailer or online retailer that violates this term may lose their dealership.

March 2007: New Spring Beads and other changes

Spring 2007 Beads

Lund Trading is happy to announce that the new Spring 2007 Trollbeads are on their way!  The beads are expected to arrive at the end of March or beginning of April, but feel free to place your order now.  With your order you will also receive updated pages for your binder.
There will be six (6) much awaited purple glass beads, a Spring bead, which is similar to the Winter bead, and a whole new alphabet in both silver and 18kt gold.

The Tibet beads have been retired and will no longer be available.

Chain Ordering Modification

Lund Trading is going to start selling the Trollbeads bracelets and necklaces as they do in the rest of the World; with no clasp. You will need to order the double clasp or one of our decorative locks with every order of chain. To accommodate this change we will have a new price and part number for chain without a clasp.  However, the separate prices for the chain and the clasp will equal the old price for the two combined. In other words, this is not a price increase, just an order modification.

We will update the order forms and all other printed material. Please make note of this for future reorders.

November 2006: Introducing the Trollbeads Anniversary Bracelet

Lund Trading is excited to announce a limited edition Trollbeads Anniversary Bracelet. This bracelet symbolizes the 30 year history of Trollbeads. The many shapes, colors and patterns exhibit Trollbeads state of the art design and craftsmanship.

Anniversary Bracelets

The bracelet consists of five sterling silver beads, five Murano glass beads, one 18kt gold bead, a fresh water pearl and a decorative lock.

There is a baby carriage for the beginning, flowers and of course a troll. A pyramid like shape is representative of the textile design used over three decades.  Denmarks famous Viking warships are echoed in the beads as the touch of Danish history is not to be forgotten. The glass beads, indicative of Trollbeads, are a myriad of colors while the 18kt gold heartbeat adds a final touch to this unique bracelet.

The Anniversary Bracelet is as unique as the history of Trollbeads. Every bracelet has its own serial number carried on an engraved bead. The assembled bracelet is a limited edition and is sold world wide. Only the chain and fresh water pearl will continue to be a part of the Trollbeads universe.

Each bracelet, comes packaged in a jewelry box and will be sold in a very limited quantity. We are taking orders now for delivery in late November. The suggested retail price is $670. All sales are final no returns are accepted.

Please contact us if we can answer any questions for you. Place your orders today for the bracelet so that we can guarantee delivery.

March 2006: Tibetan refugees learn how to make jewelry

61007 Tibet Kit small

Recently Lise Aagaard Copenhagen began a Self Sustainable Business Project in cooperation with the Danish organization Tibet Charity. The idea for the project is to teach the unemployed Tibetan refugees to catch fish as opposed to give them fish.  Lise Aagaard is not only engaged in providing ordinary aid. In May she traveled to Dharamsala and taught the refugees how to make glass beads.  Initially she will buy all the beads they produce. Later, however, she will teach the group how to run their own business from design to market. Until then, Lise Aagaard will provide salaries and housing to the Tibetans who, according to their modest culture, share the income with their families and the members of their community who are unemployed.

It is an interesting experience to set up a workshop in a culture so different. I have always greatly enjoyed my trade. This is such a fantastic opportunity because I can actually use my skills to help others. Lise explains how she chose to contact Tibet Charity.

The manager of the project was appointed by his holiness the Dalai Lama.

Lise Aagaard got the idea about a year ago.  In May, she traveled to Dharamsala where she taught bead making to a dozen men and women as well as their manager.

The Tibet Beads, as the project is called, will have a couple of months to produce as many beads as they can before the are shipped to Copenhagen Denmark, where Lise Aagaard will use them in her new collection.

These Tibet Beads will reflect the Tibetans own preferences for color, shape and form.
